Car ferry and passenger services operate to Tyneside from Holland. The North Shields International Ferry Terminal at Royal Quays (Tyne Commission Quay) is seven miles east of Newcastle. Bus services run from the terminal building to the city centre.

By Rail
Trains from across Europe to London arrive at the Eurostar terminal St Pancras, directly next to London Kings Cross station where trains to Newcastle depart every 30-60 minutes.

By Air
Newcastle has its own international airport operating both domestic and international flights to cities including Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belfast, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, Dubai, London, Paris, Prague and Southampton.

You will need a valid passport but not a visa if you are a permanent resident of the EU, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and some countries in Latin America and in the Caribbean. The visa application process is currently suggesting 6 weeks (not the usual 3 weeks) from interview date.
